Conventional buying advice says to optimize for the lowest upfront price, or to stick with whatever brand you already use. My experience with this refresh suggests otherwise. What mattered most was compatibility—with our carrier's provisioning system, with each other, and with the people using them daily. ZTE worked because the whole lineup could share the same SIM cards and the same basic management approach.
